Hey All,

So i'm looking around for an 2001 s15 and i'm finding some with low k's and pretty good value..eg, $16,000 for 84,000k's, no accidents, engineered for all mods..

Should the bullshit alarm bell be ringing ?

And every second car is owned by a 'lady owner'

So what should i look for because clearly i have no clue...

what i usually do is to look out for the area the car is located in first and minimise the list, then with those go see the cars that are most local first with a friend mechanic to look at it more thoroughly.
if the car is what it says it is then they shouldnt be afraid to take it to a mechanic shop of your choice to get it checked.

if you really like the car and they say no then obviously its not a no accident/immaculate/weekend only car/never tracked/drifted/not thrashed/always serviced and the list goes on

its a hassle yes but you dont want to end up with a car thats been written off etc. then again you can go check Revs and that other one i forgot the name of it, the one you have to pay $50 or something to see if its been in an accident/repairable write off etc.

yeah I always have alarm bells when i see ads saying "1 lady owner" "always garaged" "never boosted" "no track use" etc etc

But yeah, as has been said, take a mechanic friend along to check it out first, sometimes the sellers are actually genuine, although it seems to be rare
