Recently I crAshe my n/a s13. It's been sitting around for a bit my mate told me to get a rolling shell s13 and just switch everything across. I've got the shell and my car already To go... That's the easy part now going from sr20det to sr20de. It already has an engineers slip for sr20det, exhaust, lowered springs, shocks, pillar mounted boost gauge. Now do I require one for the transplant and do I have to re-certify everything else???

You should be fine.

The engine swap itself doesn't require engineering as it was an engine that originally came in an s13.

The engineers certificate only covers the modifications at the time of the inspection. If you change the exhaust, for example, then that is no longer covered.

The catch is that you are going from a turbo to NA so it'll be louder with the same exhaust and likely be over the legal limit which regardless of engineering is still illegal.

Everything else is still covered.
