because its the cool thing to do these days.

mild stretch is ok ie: 235 on 9/10" but some ppl take it too far like 205 on a 10"

It depends on how you do it, to what etc etc.

I agree that alot of people do it for the sake of it by itself just cos it's the thing to do. It also seems that lots of people buy wheels with the biggest negative offset they can find regardless of other factors.

Having said this my new wheels and tyres for the Silvia will have both negative offset and stretch.

But it's a means to an end (aesthetically) not an exercise in numbers for coolness factor.

I have considered other paths as well, and depending on how this looks I may still change the path i take.

Thats only if you are running a car stupidly low.. basically ruining the handling of your car anyway.

To my knowledge there all different terms used to determin fitment:

Baller: Super Low and Flush

Mexican: Wheels hanging outside the guards

Sunken: Wheels way inside the gaurd (generally related to all sex spec cars)

Demon Camber: Mega Low, tucking big wide rims (VIP cars get this alot)

All of the above also have different ranges of stretch (except sex spec).

Thats all I can think of at the moment, but I am sure many of us have heard several different references when it comes to wheels and offsets.

Well I dont think all is lost

The only reason I hate sunken sex spec cars is because 99% of the owners are self obsessed womanising tools

From my experience with the 'hella flush' crowd is that they are actually more inclined to be a real enthusiast. Of course, you still get Douche McPhillips rocking up to meet ups, changing wheels to mexican style ones, then changing back to drive home (true story)
