When do you say enough is enough with modifying your car.

I said ages ago "This is it" but it seems every week i am spending more and more money on my car.

I know everyone else out there is like this but its like an addiction everytime i drive my car i feel i need something more.

So hard to save when you have a sports car!!!!

It's like any hobby - it never ends. There's always some new part you can get to upgrade something.

What stopped me spending money on the car was going to the track. I spent about $4000 between track days and only got 2 seconds a lap faster :)

Brain mods (i.e. track time) are much more valuable than pretty much any car mod.

hahaha, i've given myself to the end of the year to "Finish" my car, as im doing a bit of travelling and want to save for my own place.

I say "Finish" because I know next year will come and something, some sort of new mod, will pop up that i'll want to do.. As it always does.. -_-

I came to admit i had a problem in this area when my station hack ran a 11.8@122mph.
You've got to have a habit, i can see potential in any shitbox.

This is a tricky one hey. What is a lot of money for some is pocket money to others

I don't think there's anything wrong with spending money on your car over a long period of time. After all, all hobbies cost money and IMO you shouldn't beat yourself up over spending money on something you like doing.

I reckon you're only spending too much if the money you spend on your car stops you doing other things you'd like to do, so I just try to make sure I don't spend all my spare dosh on the car so i've got money for the other stuff I like doing too.

Sure, it might take a bit longer to get overseas again b/c I track my silvia rather than driving a yaris, but if I can do both in the long run, i'm happy.

you stop when you're happy with it.

if other priorities come up before that point,it's not finished,it's on hold until you can pay for it,have enough time or whatever else...
