i got defected the other day and now i need to get an emissions test done for my intercooler and turbo back 3" exhaust with metal cat. Thats pretty much it.
Not really other engine mods except for a set of split fire coils, still has stock airbox.

Is there anything i should know? how likely am i to pass this? without reverting to stock?

Also, plumbing the EGR back into the dump? anyone done this? where on the pipe would i get the fitting welded in?

Oh, funny story, the duchebag wrote i had a pod filter on the defect notice.... i have a stock airbox.... how am i supposed to take police seriously when all they do is lie and abuse their "power" on obvious targets.

its not free, costs about $75 i think. There is no chance you will pass with your intercooler, you will need to put the stock on back on, and with the exhaust you should be right with std exhaust from cat back.

thats to say its only for noise pollution and there is no emissions test involved.

The minimum is at least $69 and there are only 4 DECC approved places to go... Campbelltown, Granville, Illawarra & I can't remember the last, and if you fail you have to go back to the same place until it's passed.

Or you can go to the extreme like I did and cancel the rego and write a letter telling them to lick you on the nuts :P

Edit: I'm pretty sure its both a noise & emissions test, that's what I was meant to have tested

the place i want to get my car engineered at said i have to get an emissions test for him as dont have stock turbo & front mount & exhaust.
if it doesn't meet emissions, then does that mean i have to revert back to stock, get engineers for a STOCK car?
if so that would be a waste of time & money.

Are you sure i wont pass with the cooler? my engineer recons it should be ok, he was a little iffy about emmissions with the exhaust tho... The cooler not a hybrid, is a slightly smaller mild upgrade ARC core... im so over this sh1thouse stategovt, the rta and the police service. All i want to do is drive to F*&^ing work without getting hassled!!! apparently thats too much to ask, and anyone with a modified car has to be hunted down and F&*^ed.

If it fails emissions how it is and needs to be reverted back to stock I would assume it gets engineered as stock, I can't see them allowing you to change it back over for them to engineer when they know its over the emissions limit. I could be wrong though.

If its reverted to stock, you don't need to get the eng cert or the emmissions test. You just have to jump through the same hoops again next time you get done.

Ain't that the truth, we all get targeted like nobodys business and yet the people out there doing real crimes aren't being caught cause there's too many cops chasing 'hoons' why don't they go out and do something useful like catch the f**kers who keep knocking over amoured trucks

Well its popular belief now that we are responsible for the worlds problems. Just like they make us believe that doing 62 in a 60 zone makes you a murderer.

How many people do you know who are so preoccupied with the speed limit that they constantly scan their speedo rather than looking where they are going or the kid thats about to jump onto the road. Just because one or two people do the wrong thing we all have to be hated. We need to get rid of pollies who are preoccupied with finding scapegoats to take the public's attention off the real issues.... EDUCATE OUR F*^ing DRIVERS PROPERLY and the road toll will drop. But that's a long term initiative... not good for votes.

More importantly that COSTS money, whereas going after driving for stupid shit is a way to make some money, and seriously what's the last long term project that this govt has promised that has actually been fulfilled and run smoothly? :-?
