twin tips on single mufflers are sad. twin mufflers are cool. full dual exhausts are awesome.

my wagon runs a dual 2" system from the cat back. more ground clearance than a single 3" pipe with similar flow capacity. if I had an Rb26 with twins I'd run dual the whole way.

How so? With the way cops are being nowdays, the more stock you can make your car look, the better.

so run twin mufflers. or at least a muffler with twin outlets. but not a single outlet muffler with a twin tip welded to it.
Y shaped twin tips are just sad,you may as well have a late 80's-early 90's droopy tip on there.

not trying to tempt fate, but my exhaust is obviously not stock and I have never received extra attention because of it. nor my bare carbon vented bonnet, nor the wheels, nor the ride height. for the last 18mths I've been ripping up and down the M4 and adjoining roads at all hours and haven't been stopped once. I've seen a heap of police cars patrolling throughout that time as well.

it's more the cars you're driving than what's hanging under them... you ARE in a silvia after all.
cops know what they are and what they're capable of,dual, single, triple tips or whatever... if they don't ping your exhaust, they'll ping your wheels,or the pod filter,or the intercooler,or your low washer fluid level,or whatever else they need to to piss you off.

Nope! Erect all the way!

And i dont know what the problem with Y style twin tips.

How am i gonna fit twin mufflers under there? I can hardly fit the one. Wouldn't i then need to also modify my rear bar to fit the tips? Or am i not understanding the whole twin muffler thing?

And didn't all S series cars come standard with twins out of 1 muffler?

Thanks Locky

Correct about the angle of the photo, you can't see the muffler unless i've just run over someone and they are looking for for plate number.

i also agree with fergo the welded on Y tip is a little sad. my first was twin muffler to twin cannons which i removed (anyone want this exhaust?) and now runs twin from diff to back.
