Hi guys!
Finally i got rid of my old car and picked up a White S15 yesterday from an importer on parra road!!

Basicly the car has:
- Normal rims
- Aero Kit
- Greddy Turbotimer
- Greddy gauges x 3
- Rev meter + shift light
- Blitz boost controller
- Blitz pod filter

So here is the story, we got all our cash and wait for the car to arrive, it wasnt until 5pm, the car arrived, but still had to wait for the papers to be done.
Me and my best mate had a brief look at the S15, and then went back to the office since it was pouring rain, and it was getting darker and darker.

Finally we got the papers, grab the keys and take it home! Then we stop over at Burwood Mobil to fill up the car with full tank of 98 octane, and hit the M4.

On our way, we can smell alot of petrol at the rear end of the car, later on we figure it was from the outside, because when we closed the windows, there were less smell.

Got home, stopped the car, saw 3 small patches of oil on the ground after we dropped some boxes back into the garage. We had a few more runs around the block and came back, no signs of any patches of oil.

So we drive it in the garage, pop the boot, removed the carpet, and spotted the fuel pump cover wasnt screwed on, it was just hanging there with no bolts. We then got 4 screws and screwed back in, and jacked the car up. Check around the bottom, and saw fresh patches of petrol all around both fuel tanks. We test drove it more, as i m a new FR driver, it was okay, but the smell were still there. Also, we spotted the front two guards were removed, and quite a few screws were missing to hook up all the guards, and bodykit.

Today took it back to the dealer, and the sales person told me to take it back to the warehouse, so we went, and the guy there had a look around the car, and told me he booked mechanic to fix it up.
Headed to Bankstown, and the rude owner was like, this is not a fuel filter issue, and he wasnt gonna fix it! We rang back the dealer to chase up whats gonna happen. when they finally picked up the fone, i was got told that the MTA warranty wasn't going to cover this, and he recommended me to go to IS-motoring to check it out, which is in Rockdale. The person back in the warehouse said the warranty only overs cars that are under 50000kms, and under 10 years old?!!!! what the? (my s15 is built 01/1999, just passed 10 years)..

Indy in IS-motoring had a look at the car, and i took him what we saw last night, and he unscrewed the fuel pump cover, and found the pump was not properly screwed on?!! anyway, he fixed all up, and we drove home, the fuel smell was alot less, and my fuel gauge was abit more stable then before, but the fuel gauge has passed half a tank already. ( only got the car 16hours ago)

The guy from the warehouse talked to Indy on the phone, and he said he will pay Indy instead of me.

I wonder what other problems will be spotted later on, since day one, people has been telling me the past stories about their s15, but still i decided i would get one. Thinking of buying one from a dealer would be safer, and now they told me i got no warranty?! Front fenders are missing, boot surrounds are missing or loose, bolting on with one or 2 bolts?!

Anywayz, i still have to find out:
- How much Ks can i squeeze out of a full tank.
- Wht HID kits should i get
- Need a GT wing.
- Maximum safest boost is [?]bar ??, we had it on 0.75bar.
- Where the hell can i get the fenders back?
- Where the hell can i get the boot surround fixed?
- What offset should i look for 17' rims?

Cheers guys.

Harvey :)

1- Around 400km's depending on driveing...
2- Any brand name HID kit will be ok about 6000k is the go......
3- You dont need a Gt wing, you want one and there a mad wank job unless yo need one at the track......
4- You dont have front gards? or are you talking about inner gard liners?
5- Boot trims?
6- Around +20ish would fill the gards ok...

Hey Harvey, it's Kevin with the yellow S15 on the other forum. Once you get most of the stuff fixed, it will be an awesome ride.

With wheels, 9 inches wide and low/mid 20 offset will be pretty aggressive for the S15.

does Indy have anything to do with boats or water skiing as well?? his name sounds familiar....

anyway, please dont name the dealer unless you are going to be FACTUAL. and after you have stated your facts, no one else will post anything except FACTS. no feelings, no rumours, nothing like that.

so, welcome and congratulations on your new ride. youll find that people here are happy to help out! i hope you manage to figure out solutions to all those problems. you may find that the dealer/importer has removed modified parts (possibly the original owner in Japan) quickly and not done everything back up again. if you do it properly, it will be a great car!

You want a GT wing, as in one of the JDM wings that came included in the GT spec cars delivered here? Or a big GT ironing board wing?

ahhh youre looking for an AUDM factory 'GT' wing, which is actually a JDM 'aero selection' wing. check out NS.com for sale section if you cant find one on here. i remember seeing one for sale in the last month or so... i think lol

According to GasCubby my best result was 7.2l/100 on highway.
In the city it usually takes about 10.5L - 11.5L /100

What is the safest maxium boost on a stock engine with standard internal?

what's safe for std internals and just more boost, and what's safe with all the supporting mods and a properly tuned ecu are two different things.

best bet is to put the car on a dyno and keep turning it up in steps while checking the air/fuel mixture and for pinging.
most likely if all other things are std, around 10-12psi will be the limit.

Justin...
