So Anna was just made redundant today, we were gonna buy one, so with her payout, we are still buying one lol

anyway, just before she looks at it - ive already looked at a few - has anyone here driven one or knows someone who owns one?

we are looking at a Sports model thats fully optioned with leather, sunroof and BT handsfree etc.

did you like it? if you know someone with one, do they like it?

ive read plenty of reviews, ive driven a few and there are not many downsides except that its cramped in the back. but for a runabout car for a girl, its virtually the perfect car........

plus clarkeson loves them too, i only wish the Abarth model was out here already!! or better still, the Abarth SS!

my gf's mother has one, not sure the exact model... however it is totally gutless... I mean, it hardly will get up a hill with the AC going.

my gf's 1990's mirage is significantly more powerful and spritely. (if a mirage could ever be describe that way...)

However, the fiat has an awesome exhaust note... LOL

Zei - seriously - Mazda 2.

my dad is thinking of buying one for my mum. i am totoally against it, theyre so tiny and they cannot be quick?

theyre looking into the dual logic one.

sadly theres really no other new "funky" cars in that price range.

if only i could convince them to go 2nd hand, would love to buy my 'mum' an STi hahahah

then let her catch the bus :P

well, anything except the 1.4l is shit, the diesels are even shitter than the 1.2L im told.

anyway, we test drove it today, anna loved it!! which didnt surprise me at all.

they dont go all that badly, they arent a sports car, and the aircon was on the whole time. for a car for her to drive around town - and i bet i drive it too lol - its perfect.

yeah they are expensive, but this one is well priced for the options is has.

so we talked price, the sales guy seemed likey it would be ok, but he has to talk to the sales manager tomorrow morning. i hope he OKs it!

Sorry Zei, the one I'm familiar with is the Fiat Punto (1.4l). I've drove it a fair bit through the hills of Newcastle over the xmas break. I was genuinely scared a semi was going to drive over us... on the up hill!

The 500 may have more guts... but its hard to believe...

well, its a 900kg car and a 100hp engine. its not supposed to be a rocket haha

however its a very safe car in an accident, and it was piss easy for anna to drive. so we are gonna get her one. i just hope THIS one is the one we can get. tomorrow we will find out when he calls me back............

Welcome to the Euro car world.

Just make sure you set aside at least $1000 for each and every service.

I would say that is true of expensive euro cars.

In the $15,000-$40,000 bracket - I think Japanese have the quality advantage.

How much is one of these mighty beasts anyway? (market value if you don't want to say how much you paid for yours...)
