we got this one for $22k, 11k km on the clock. sports model, leather seats, sunroof, metallic paint, 'race stripe' and blue & me options. basically a $34-35k if you specced it new.

i think you can get pop models (base model 1.2L) for $24k, other pop models for similar prices.

anna is happy, and thats all that matters :P

so she picked up the 500 today and is really happy with it!!

ive been driving it around tonight, aside from it being a little gutless under 2.5k, its pretty good. its used fuck all fuel and ive been hammering it all night. it grips (probably due to lack of power haha) and handles quite well!

its got so many cool features, for example, when you put it in reverse and your front wipers are on, the rear one turns on to clear it while youre reversing. just little stuff like that makes it a better car. had problems with the blue&me, but once we read the book we got the phone syncing and wokring fine. the ipod literally just worked!

so even im pretty happy with it!

nah it doesnt have that, but it has 'driving lights' so like a volvo it has small headlights that are on all the time. however, it can be programmed to not have them. so many settings of this car and be user configured... there are 3 quite involved manuals that came with the car. one is just for the blue & me lol

Once the warranty is gone man, trade it in... trouble shooting any electrical issues on these things are a serious nightmare.

Customer: "The cabin light doesn't work anymore, I think the globe is blown..."
Fiat Service Centre: "Nah, gotta replace the whole computer for that issue" *rubs hands together*

sorry to reply to an old post but a guy who lives in my street has 2 of the classic Fiat 500's. My close friend is a big enthusiast of all classic fiats that he's tempted to buy one off the guy in my street.

Anyways this friend of mine had used to have a Fiat Niki which was the updated version of the old 500, and it was totally gutless, rear engine, rear wheel drive 2cyl aircooled 600cc, and it was even more gutless when we packed out the car with 3 of us, anybody who's met me will know im a big boy and i literally had to sit sideways in this car with my back facing the door lol the best was when we drove past the cops and the look on there face was priceless sort of like one of Rove's "What The" moments.

Another time we tryed to get up a gutter and the car wouldnt move and stalled :D so many fun times we had in that little thing.

So Zei after owning the Fiat for a month how are you liking it?

actually its pretty damn good to drive, it sticks to the road. it doenst have that much go, but what do you expect from a 1.4L?

anyway i got just over 500km from mi think 31L of fuel. so its economic. and when i drive it, its gets a bit of a hammering lol

the old 500 was gutless, but it made fiat the company it is today.

I'll still be here in 18 months.

The abarth model will probably be around the 21-25k mark (similar pricing to the cooper S).

I sold the 240.

Thinking of the following (all slightly used with <5k miles)

- S2000
- E92 328i coupe
- 370z

All around the 30k mark or slightly under.

OR wait for the new VW GTI which will be ~22k new.

Choices, choices....
