Dunno if any of you have seen this, but Russia has produced the first couple of episodes of their version of Top Gear.

Quick summary - it is pretty awesome.

It makes the Australian one look very unfunny and crap. The Russian one doesn't seem to have any larger budget than the Oz version (no expensive looking stunts), but the presenters seem to work off one another much better, and are a lot less annoying than ours were.

Its funny the disregard they have for their laws when doing challenges too

I think that if you didn't have to concentrate on reading the subtitles, it might almost be as good as the UK version.

For those who can't get Russian TV at home, here are some alternative links

Yep, definately worth watching.

Though the reasonably priced car is far from a stocker with a cage

This part was highly amusing too. Its some nuggetty Russian shitbox, but it obviously has a bunch of suspension work and engine work cos its pretty low and has quite the awesome lumpy idle. It looked to haul ass too.
That and it lapped the test track with a random guest driving faster than the Stig lapped in an old 911

About 10-15 years ago one of those guys hosted a show where players had to steal cars with latest alarms/tracking devices and bring them to some place without getting caught by police.

I'm pretty sure the US version got scrapped. Haven't heard any news on it for ages.
