Hey guys and girls,

As some of you may know im looking at buying an S14 in the near future and im curious as to what to look out for in them. What problems do i look out for etc etc. I tried searching but i fail at searchs so yeah.

Im also after some general info on them as well. What kinda fuel economy do they get with a fairly standard engine, exhaust and maybe intake. Basically stock. Are they a forgiving car to drive as well or snap sideways with little caution?

Any help is muchly appreciated guys :).

Cheers

Ash

have a look around theres heaps of info to be found

feul ecconimy depends on how heavy your foot is :P

make sure one you buy ist cut and shut and the chasiss is straight  most other things can be fixed/replaced

i find the s14 is more forgiving that a s13, the s13 is more snappy and the s14 more glides out.

if you muck around with the aliment and dont do it properly they become very twitchy (ie pull the camber out on the rear tyres but dont adjust the toe ect)

Cheers for the info Locky.

Ill keep looking around for sure but homework is a killer, year 12 sucks :(.

haha fair enough on the economy. What would be a rough average though. 350-400km to a tank in a largly stock car?

Ahh ok that interesting that you find the S13 is more snappy. Drove a mates S13 once Seemed nice and planted but i wasnt driving it hard, wasnt allowed :P.

You should get almost 10km/litre if you baby it (i.e. about 500km to a tank).
But the more throttle you use, the more fuel you'll use. And as you mod for more power and run more boost, you'll use even more fuel.

He was referring to how it drifts, which is something you chouldn't be too concerned with unless you're looking to build a dedicated drift car.

I plan on taking the car to a few track days so this is kinda relevant.
