can someone point me towards a place that has M8x1.25 high tensile studs and lock/cone nuts in the same size

i tried GCG, they wanted $60 for a set of 4 which i thought was a bit rich especially when they had it on their website for $28..

also tried lees brothers in parramatta who said they only had it in mild steel because the person who made the high tensile ones has retired..

want to get these asap as the car is off the road again

is that a weird size or something?? tried your local auto shop??

i never have a problem getting those sizes. i think i bought a pack of them for the old turbo i had, the snorkle needed longer studs and i had to get M8x1.5 or 1.25.

not many places have them, i dunno. Even coventry, a friggin 'nut & bolt' shop didnt have any. i'll give repco and autobarn a call too, i assumed they wouldnt have them.

I bought 20 turbo studs from autobarn for like $1 each, and 20 locknuts from my local nut place for like 20c each.

Nothing like having spares

Nepean bolt master had the cone locking nuts i needed last time in that size, theyre pretty likely to have the studs too

the price variations were crazy, ranging from 20c to $5 each

i got my lock nuts from coventry for 20c and the studs from a repco that luckily had stock for $3.60 each
