this is better than comedy central. go get your container full of parts, use all your supposed know-how,and prove us wrong,by all means!! I'll be the first to congratulate you if you ever manage to even remotely pull this off,but I highly doubt that I'll ever have to do that.

since you asked, what do I drive? a stagea. I also drive an AE111 levin, occasionally an IS200,and several different cars each day, depending on which customers come into work.
I'm a licensed mechanic,with 10 years in the trade in various jobs,including mechanical repairs,engine reconditioning,panelbeating,and rentals.
I've owned 19 cars in the last 15 years of driving, and currently own three, the stagea,an AE86 project, and the AE111. I've had three S14's among the monaros, other AE86's and lexuses in the list.
there's a good chance I know a bit about how things work by now.

what you're proposing to do is insane.
you want to LEASE the drift car now? have you ever leased a car before?
I would say not going on the fact you even expect to be able to lease something suitable for drifting. for starters, leased cars can generally be a maximum of 3years old at the start of the lease. what are you going to buy that can be turned into a drifter that's a 2005 model? especially modified with parts from japan. a Z33 is about the only option, and they are close enough to useless for drifting.
then there's liability insurance, comprehensive insurance on the car which is required by the lease company - and then voided the second the car hits a track... not to mention the kind of mods required to make the car perform, they won't be covered either,as most are borderline on legality as well... and by the way, these are all points I'm just bringing up off the top of my head, not serious, thought out business research,as you SHOULD have already done, but haven't.

in short, you haven't thought this through at all,and are now trying to bark at us for pointing out your stupidity. skip the whole grumpy "I'll show you lot' bit,(because you won't) ,and just go away. you're wasting our bandwidth.

Justin...

well said justin. i have an idea for the entrepreneur: start a normal car rental business with camry's and commodores because people tend to try to drift them and be street schumachers in them anyway...

seriously, there is good money in rental cars.

you've heard of bayswater car rental right? they're based in WA. back in 2001,between their WA branches, and the big one here in the cross, they CLEARED $14.7M. that's with a fleet of 3000 cars all up.

a normal rental car business is a god idea,if you're smart, and cover all the angles, like they do. the 'plan' above is insane.

I know UpGarage in Ingleburn are building a car for this exact same purpose. I told them it is a stupid idea too, but at least they have the resources to get the thing built and fixed cheaply

lol this thread is indeed funny...

Thinking back a few months ago i had a whole heap of Body kits ready to be shipped to me such as Works 9 v1 and 2, wide body Veilside kits, BN kits etc i.e all drift style kits. However, i came to the conclusion that everyone is a tight Asss so i didn't end up bringing them in.

Based on my reports and finding that i did everyone wants something for nothing and if they going to drift then most likely a kit wouldn't be a must have as one thing on their list of things to modify.
