hey all can somebody explain to me why my 1998 subaru liberty bilstein edition (SECOND CAR) advert was locked by a moderator, and in the for sale section there is a toyota starlet life on there still advertised and hasnt been locked. is there something im missing here?????????

thats easy - youre new around here, people dont know you. Generally, people with bugger all posts arent allowed to sell stuff, because theres a very big chance theyre only on here to use the club as a free classifieds.

Phantom Snail has been around for a fair bit longer, and is known personally by many members, so the mods know he's here for the long haul.

The mods review every ad and respond accordingly, based on many things, such as sellers' reputation, appropriateness of the item, whether it would appeal to a club member, etc.

Youre not the only person to have had a thread locked mate - keep in mind that this is a silvia club, and nobody is really that interested in reading about other makes for sale.

Ark has pretty much hit the nail on the head.

You haven't been a member for more than a month, despite your relatively high post count. We'll generally let a few for sale items through if it's something that we expect other members will want, but cars for sale, particularly non silvias, get a fair bit of scrutiny and are generally locked or trashed if it's a new member.

We don't want our forum to turn into a free carsales.

yeh ok no problem at all i can understand that. it is advertised on ebay and carsales.com.au so i wasnt trying to get free advertiseing or anything. thansk for letting me know
