Does anyone know if it's possible for someone on a Mac (me) and someone on a PC to connect to the same server to play multiplayer?

I tried to type in the same IP address that my mate could see, and vice versa, but we both kept getting some sort of protocol error.

you would have to setup tcp/ip on the apple (instead of appletalk) to get it working afaik.
