Anyone that gives you a test drive of any car has rocks in his head let alone telling you to take it for an old pac run. :P

What are you trying to say? :P

I am not a crackpot. :x

I'm just......an enthusiast. You've seen me drive. I'm heaps enthusiastic, and I've never crashed a car on a nice windy road.

And I must look sweet and innocent while I'm trying hard to contain my manic glee that someone is going to let me drive their hot hatch up my favourite road when I hadn't been behind the wheel of a car for almost 2 years (aside from a few weeks of driving the old man's gutless wonder around).

I dunno. The oldschool Monaros aren't doing too badly.

And 10 years we might be looking at a completely different automotive landscape. All cars might be hybrids, or hydrogen fuelled, or fuck knows?

It would be a mockery of the Monaro name, but in the quest for business those sales and marketing parasites will slap hallowed names on warmed over shit (look at most of the Golf GTis or the Australian delivered DC5 Type-R).

This could be the last petrol drinking V8 Monaro ever made. Which would make it the most valuable Monaro in the world.

Astra from the Holden dealer!

That's still an awefully trusting salesman. You must look very trustworthy. :P

Obviously the Clio is lighter than the Z; giving it it's "chuckability" but i'm wondering by how much?

I think we're missing each other here.

LOL We weren't missing each other after you corrected me in your first response. I was just having a go at myself in the above post.

Anyway, moving on...

The winning bid is $187,600.00. It didn't really take off after it reached $180K.
