Id call it an investment rather than a waste. Can you imagine what this will be worth in 10-20 years time? Providing the monaro name stays retired. It will go for over half a million and end up overseas thats for sure. |

Least its for a good charity I suppose. Personally I'm glad its over, I mean the monaro as a name won a couple of bathurst races back in the pre-70's but I dont really remember them doing any good in anything since. Theyre just sort of the 2-door booner weapon of choice for miscreants with a much over-rated self-importance of themselves that some marketing types tell the general public 'its a legend' and the shallow, self concious nobodys who've never owned a fast car (and generally know jack shit about cars) can go and instantly 'get some street cred' with other petrol heads by owning one. I had a loaner of a 5.7L one last year, rolling on 19' tyres it handled like a boat, was even worse performance than my Sil in 0-100 and had THE worst visibility out the rear, front and sides than any other coupe I've ever owned. They are a serious hunk of brake-warping, crap fuel economy, caravan towing, cheap fittings, lousy handling, shit. |

in 10 years time it will be a classic piece of turd and the same people who will pay 180K for a piece of turd now, will also pay for the classic piece of turd in 10 years time, so i geuss your right it will be worth more then to some |

Its going to be a collectable regardless of how bad the car is. Its no where near as bad as most think. Depends what you expect I guess. 100% of the procedes are going to charity so it doesn't matter what they are selling as long as it sells Holden has done alot for local charities comapred to other comapnies of the same size. |

I think it was scathing who went to a holden dealer asking about a test drive (before he got a freefiddy), and they told him you cant have a test drive, as potential owners already ready know if they will buy it or not before they walk in. My general manager has one, its an orange thing with nostrils |
