There is going to be a massive waiting list for them. I forget the actual figures, but they reported in the SMH that Honda is only able to import x amount of them a year (really really small amount), and demand is a lot more than supply. They reckon it might be worse than the demand for Golf GTI etc...

The Civic Type R is UK built as well. Seems strange huh?

Anyways, I'm not a fan of them. In regards to the original post, whilst my S13 is NA and on stock suspension (though not for much longer) I still really appreciate its darty little ways and the rear wheel drive light car combo. Sometimes I drive my mum's N16 Pulsar, my sister's Corolla, or my Dad's SV6 Commodore - which with 192kW at the fly has reasonable power, but the auto transmission and the handling SUCK.

After driving them for about 20 mins I'm longing to be back in the Sil. In the S13, you feel like you are actually in the car, controlling it, rather than ontop of the car, while an autotragic transmission and boat like dynamics rock your world.

In saying that, I don't think the S13 is the be all and end all of sports cars. But I think, in terms of bang for buck, the availability of parts, and factoring in their age, that you'd be hard-pressed to find a better value sports car out there. Agree?

the only other car i would consider in the s15 price range was the evo
which is a great value for money sports car.

i love the handling of my s15, it craps all over my 180 too even though its stock suspension.

I've had both, and I can tell you the Evo IX has better steering feel and more outright grip, but the S15 Silvia is a boatload more fun to drive and looks a lot better.

Just make sure you replace the factory s15 seats :P

yeap from people i spoke to they said the s15 gave a more fun driving experience, and since i could only afford the evo vii the s15 was definately ahead in the looks department ! im very happy with the s15 :)
