666 was a number stolen from the pagans. christianity used this number and made it 'look bad' so the conversion from paganism to christianity would me smoother. hence why christmas, easter etc were all pagan rituals.

666 appears in the book of revelations in the bible, this was originally written in ancient greek so the number would be LITERALLY translated to 616 :)
