How about the last guy in the white van that headbutts the windscreen!?!

seriously,if you lived in London, surely you'd know about this, and would have enough nous to not drive over retractable bollard poles?

I bet mechanical workshops are loving it,with all the extra suspesnion and engine bottom end repair work they'll be getting if these kind of impacts are common over there now.

how dumb would you have to be to do that- but they are a bit brutal they should at least ascend slower than that- but i guess than it would punch the centre rear of the car when they get owned- ah well brits are stupid

An easy way to stop this from happening would be for the people that installed them to have a stop sign straight after, so the bus/van goes over it, stops, and a sensor sees they have stopped, it then raises the bollards, thus knowbody else is tryingt to scream in over the bollards, and then when up, the bus/van moves on, no damage, only 30 seconds extra time spent, and everyone is happy and safe.

But imagine flying in like some of these stupid poms, and having your car ripped apart by the raising bollard, priceless for anyone watching.

I have friends going over in less than a week, I might get them to find one of these bollards and watch for the stupid people totalling their cars on them :)
