There is just as much, if not more potential for that to happen under a high speed chase.

Im on both sides of this one, there are good and bad points on both sides of the equation.

i can understand both side of this as well.

But i find it hard to give sympathy to someone who dies while commiting a highly dangerous crime, like this sutuation.

Better him dead, then an innocent person, if we have to use the worst case scenario.

Anyone suspected of a crime, should be shot.

i thought the police were supposed to back off if it looked like it was turning into a high speed persuit? anyway, the kid shouldnt have stolen the car, and the cops shouldnt have chased him. as has been pointed out, there are good and bad points to both sides.

Perhaps, but did 60 mins show some stock footage of imports doing burnouts? After all, we've got high speed chases, so it can only be some young punk in an import.

as far as i know, yes, police are suppose to call off a chase if the speed gets too high, or the lives of civilians are put into danger.

i agree that it is dangerous to other drivers in any high speed chase, and there's always the potential of injuring other drivers/pedestrians.

anyways, the police have started to implement a better strategy using helicopters in the event of a high speed chase, which i think is a much better method. so cops are tops (until they facken defect you) :P

btw, this is a bitchign forum, everyone is s'pose to agree with my rant!!!

Then the arse farming mother of the little car-stealing shit would blame the pedestrian / other road user for being in the way and getting hit by her precious little turdstain, which would probably have caused him to spin out and crash anyway.

If those law abiding citizens weren't on the road / footpath / pedestrian crossing, then her cunt-fart wouldn't have clipped them, unbalanced the car, lost control, and smashed into that telegraph pole and copped a well deserved smack in the head from the car's interior.

Oh, and then the stupid bitch would start campaigning that telegraph poles were dangerous killers that took her precious son away, and should also be banned. The government should remove every power pole in greater Sydney and bury the several million kilometres of cabling underground (because it would be so affordable and non-distruptive to core infrastructure).

In other words, blame everyone for the kid's death except for her shit eating son for being a criminal dying while committing three crimes, and her for being a mother that didn't teach her child any kind of respect for property or the law.

Nah. That's just stupid. We'd all be dead by now.

However, anyone evading the police should involve getting used as target practice if the cops can get a clean shot. For all they know, you're running from a routine traffic stop because you're a wanted murderer or something.

I'm scared that, if I do, she'll only read half the post (that conforms with her deranged view) and we'll start seeing some crazy bitch waving signs trying to get the government to to remove street poles, pedestrians, and non-car thief drivers from the road.

Since the government only ever signs up for stupid ideas when it comes to road safety (look at their track record on pursuing speeding as the be-all and end-all of road deaths), they'd probably end up doing it.

I dont mean to offend any one by saying this, but the aboriginal guy that died trying to jump a fence while running from cops...same thing. If something was stolen from me, and it was within the cops to catch the person then I would expect evry measure be taken to get that person.... if they die by missadventure (their own stupidity) during the "chase" BAD LUCK!!!

Except inthat case the rear wheel of his bike was badly buckled, his family claimed that the poice car hit his bike forcing the accident.

Where ever this thread goes let it be known that we will NOT tolerate any racism towards indigenous Australians.
