Bah, that orange light thing sucks!

Ill tell you once I did stop hard at an amber light, didnt lock it, but doing so made the 4WD behind ram me up the ass. I went through an amber yesterday (probably after key-job anger) and it was very close to turning red, but still some guy in a ute came through after me. From now on Ill be going through amber lights if there are cars close behind me.

If a light turns amber a fair distance ahead of me (ie, a distance where you don't need to practically threshold brake to make it) I'll check my rear view mirror first.

If I have a car close behind, or someone who's obviously aggressive, I'll nail it through the intersection. If not, I'll generally stop. I've seen too many near misses (or near not-misses) to just stop for amber lights these days.

Police expect us to drive like regular commuters, if they see you driving any differently, in a "sporty" way in a modified car you are likely to get pulled over if they have nothing better to do. A loud exhaust and fluttering will draw more attention to you too.

I Vote Justin to get the Silvia NSW "COPS ARE TOPS!" Award!!!
Start writing your speech mate cos you are right up there.

True they are there to enforce the law... By scruteneering out cars evry time we go onto the street!! I have been behaving but I get harassed, followed for distances is the worst though and Finally I was pulled over for doing the wrong thing once, and I deserved the forthcoming fine...It never turned up, he never gave me an on the spot fine but took up 15 minutes to piss me off while the pizza I was delivering was getting later AnD colder.

So Sorry, cops are tops... unless they have NOTHING BETTER TO (insert obcenety here) DO!!! :x

[quote="mokompri"]i dont see the problem with going through an amber light, its not illegal so why should you get pulled over for it ?quote]

because it IS illegal, the idea you are only allowed through if it would be unsafe to stop in the available space, from the sounds of it he could've stopped in time.

don't get me wrong, i run yellows all the time, jsut be aware that's how it actually works.
