ill find out this weekend how to hook something like that up

today i found out i cant have my hazard lights on and arm the alarm. the alarm goes off. i looked like a dik doing this several times at UNSW today lol

Alarm with separate killswitch and separate internal screamer.

So if they disable the alarm and still cant start the car, stick their head under the dash looking for a switch just in time to get a 140db blast and permanent hearing damage :D

My old RX7 got flogged (if you can call it that) and they couldn't find the kill switch so it ended up 200metres down the road at the bottom of a hill where they'd tried to roll start it all the way down.

Kill switches are tops

And the switch! I saw relays in dick smith, but I'm pretty crap with electronics...

Actually, now that i think about it, I have an issue of autosalon with an article on a magnetically activated killswitch install... I'll have to see if I can find it.

But yeah, how do you hook up an autonomous screamer?

yeah that issue of autosalon was the one given out at the WSID thingo they had that a few of us went to. i still have it, dont have a scanner tho sorry

You can just hook any extra sirens in parrallel to your current one.

Only annoying thiing is that if you have a back up battery siren under the dash, then you need to get access to the key hole on the siren if you want to disconnect your car battery.

i can wire in a switch to disable it and hide it somewhere instead of using a key

Maybe the ideal solution is 10 or 12 of these beasts so that the thief's eardrums actually burst, and it drains the batt so they can't start the car :D That last park wont work for your lame 'manual' cars though :P
