Okay, Last week I herd an ad for this MASSIVE sale on car audio out in penrith held by the company Car Audio Exelence. So I checked it out on friday.

Man they had over priced every thing!!! I needed a head unit in a bad way, the sound of NOTHING was driving me mental!! The unit I ended up getting, they were selling "on sale" for $415... the same unit was at auto salon for $320, and is currently $344 at Strathfield.
Also the 6x9's they were selling for $110 (Kenwood 2way) on special mind you can be bought for like $88 bucks!!!
Fair enough they matched the price of strathfield, but WTF is with these quick buck F--K's.


Oh did I mention they suck?

ive found strathfield to be fairly resonable for certain audio things all the time, but it sort of varies between stores too.

you do get bastards selling things for too much

it sounds like he did do shopping around, but only after the initial purchase?

funny how we always find the same thing for cheaper somewhere else after we pay for it already

I checked out the price on the unit I wanted, just for the record it was a Pioneer DEH-P3550MP, the price had been $415 since Auto salon Final Battle ( Icant remember the company but they had them at $320) they had sold out. I was after a baasic model unit with MP3 playback.

I Called the store before I went to this sale, The guy on the phone said that the prices that the gear would be sold at would be determined by the manufactur/s and there would be huge price cuts, and thus nobody knew what the prices would be. My only option was to go there and see for myself. I feel sorry for someone without a clue who may have been ripped off due to ignorance... or just not shopping around!!

I did my shopping around, I had already made the 40 minute drive to Penrith so I had to haggle.

Ahh...and thats my vent!!
