Whats with them?? Are they jealous of our cars? do they do it for fun? or do they think they are all 'the shit'??

i was going home from the GFs place tonight, stopped at a se of lights, saw a cop car in a turning lane to my left ready to turn across me assuming the lights are in his favour. anyway, i took off to the right (legally) as thats how i go home. 500m down the road i see highbeams and lights and sounds. they pulled me over for an 'RBT'. also to check my tyres apparently! he said i took off a little too quickly. If i did that i would have been at the next set of lights, i didnt tell him that tho I told them to take their stick away for the breathalyzer, he said ive touched it so they cant have it. i told him they have a bin in their car and to put it there. i was expecting and argument, but he took it. take that bitch!!

but seriously, why do they do it?? he also grabbed the wing as he walked past it to make sure it was on ok. fuk man i want to make a complaint about them. stoopid fuckers.

nah im pretty sure. it doesnt really happen in other suburbs, just my local. i have one thing, i dont shit in my own yard. ie i dont do 'illegal' stuff in my own suburb - that is if i was to do anything like that. which i dont

i think they have a problem thats all. I have to go to the police station anyway, ill enquire about it while im there.

Is it usually chick cops pulling you over? Maybe they are trying to pick you up! (But i doubt it!)

I think it is the Exhaust, one night i was going down Epping Road and entered onto the Gore Hill Fwy going to the city @ 2am on a Fri night when i got pulled over, i was going around 90Kmh/hr from when i took off from the set of lights near the motorbike shop opposite to the bp. So quick takeoff..screaming zorts...

The cops pulled me over, made me sweat for 5 mins..then asked me if this was my car, what i was doing, where i was going, asked me what speed i was doing..i said i was unsure as i was trying to keep my eyes on the road and i was certainly not over 80.

They said they were doing 140 to catch up with me...bah! (possible..)

They feeled around the exhaust for a while (for temp?)..why do they do this. They did a RBT, checked my licence..hassled me for a while about the car being stolen ( i reported 1 of my licence plates stolen 1 year ago, somebody pinched my back plate for some reason from my garage 1 night).

They are always hasseling me, when i asked them why i had been pulled over...they said, We heard your exhaust and it sounded like you were going way too fast.

I was polite and respectful to them, they were rude and kept throwing filthy looks at me.

Before my S15 i had a Mirage for 2 years, i drove like more of a madman in that car and NEVER got hasseled by the cops once. I figure at night they can't see the cars as well, they focus on the noise of a sports exhaust and watch you.

I have often considered a silencer but hell...i love that BLASTING sound!

Good luck Zei, i hope they are nicer to us..i've been pulled over around 4 times in the last 18 months, never got a ticket..always a warning or a 'you may get a ticket in the mail'..nothing ever comes, that's funtastic! I think if you are polite to them they'll ease up on you a bit.

Why would they want to fish?
If i was a cop i would avoid booking people as much as possible, like any job i would just want the day to hurry up and be over so you can drive your s15 home!

Payam: Yeah im never rude to them. If they get on a power trip and try to fuck me over then ill let loose. That hasnt happened yet - luckily. But if it does, and i go down, im going to take a whole load of innocent people with me

Nis: ur right, they just cruise around my area looking for people to book. they dont do any real police work. When my car was broken into - whiule i watched - i called the cops. they were too busy to come, i had to threaten them by saying im going out with a weapon to do something about it. Is funny how they only took 1 min after that to get there. And the station is almost 10 mins drive away. dumbasses eating doughnuts. I did however, thank the officers for catching the crooks that broke into it.

hey i know u liv in the ryde area... the reason why they pull so many ppl ova especially sports cars.. is bcoz we have heaps of car thieves in the ryde area and its not just stealing ford lasers for fun.. they only steal high performance cars like ours... ask the cops

I think sometimes they know u've been up2 no good...it's instinct.

One time in Mosman i came flying around a bend flooring it at 2am and there was this little car in front of me, i slowed, looked around then overtook the car...there were parked cars on the left, as soon as i overtook i saw there was a rbt ahead..did not see any flashing lights...etc, just a cop with a red light stick waving me in..oh oh.

Needless to say i had much sucking up to do. They made me sweat a little and held me up for a while then sent me on my way.

They probably heard me coming from 8 streets away.

*chuckles*

Normally the RBT cops are very nice and down to earth, some cops are really cool!
