Do valve caps actually do anything apart form look pretty? I mean, if the valve was leaking, shouldn't the pressure build up and pop it off? :-?

they stop dirt going in and making the valve leak next time you try to pump up the tyre

valve caps are a secondary seal. if fitted correctly, they will prevent a RAPID deflation if the valve itself fails.

a bit of trivia for you,the steel caps you often see about are of of aircraft.
planes can be grounded if they don't have caps on their wheels,as they require the second seal on the valve for safety reasons.

Swap you a VW badge? I reckon the ZBus would go pretty well with an S15 badge on it. Add quite a bit of speed to it, especially since I gave my blue-tacked-on "turbo" badge to Cassa.
