I was over at a mates house this morning helping him clean up his yard and we finished about 20 mins ago, as I got to my car to come home I noticed my passenger door was ajar & I thought hmm thats strange I don't remember opening it.

So I open the door and look inside and think hmm I do believe I remember having a laptop sitting on my passenger seat with my work jacket but now there's only the jacket
After letting out a loud curse word that begins with F my mate walks out and asks whats wrong & I told him it seems someone felt they were more deserving of my 2 grand laptop than what i was :x

I guess the only good side of this is that I had no overly important documents on there (specially seeing as I work government security) & if they manage to crack my password there's nothing of importance on the laptop, there was alot of stuff important to me..but no one else would find it important

Just out of interest, what suburb was this in?

Also man I know it's a harsh lesson but that's why I habitually NEVER ever leave valuables on the seat, no matter how long they will be there. Always take it with you or at least chuck it in the boot.

Well unfortunatly my boot doesn't have a cover over it so you can see right inside anyway & it got taken from Kingswood, I should of known better, alot of stuff gets stolen here unless its bolted down.

In the end its an expensive lesson learnt and something that won't happen again.

Last week some low life prick decided to visit my street. Lucky i wasn't home or he would've gotten a beating or atleast a good talking to... hahaha

Basically there's a sweet old lady that lives down the street, lives alone as her husband died somewhat 8 years ago and shes just living her life out. No relo's we've somewhat taken her on as a 3rd grandma sort of thing. Shes that sort of nice lady.

So some guy knocks on the door saying "hey wheres this guy he owes me this much money i want my money or i'll hurt him." shes like no theres never been that guy ever here you have the wrong house. So he manages to get in for a glass of water so while shes out of the room he ramsacks the house but she has nothing, no money nothing. So he realises this and notices the ring on her finger tries to yank that off her finger although its too tight so he bails.

Across the street he ran and the lady is in shock and just doesnt notice that he ends up jumpin the fence into the other house. The dude who lives in this house is a doctor leaving for Lebanon and well naturally you'd have a large amount of cash. Prick finds this money and makes away with it.

Theives aren't pricks. Theyre a plague, aids, cancer of society and should be rid of.

Low low LOW act! Cowardly doing that too an old lady! Multiple beatings might suffice.

Totally agree, Haikii I remember a story like yours a few years back when I used to live with my grandma, there was an old lady up the street from us and she also lived alone and one night about 10:30pm I think it was there was a knock at her door.

She decided she wasn't going to answer it because it was quite late so she left it, a few minutes after that she heard kids jumping up onto her roof trying to break in, they obviously thought no ones answering so no ones home

She got extremely frightened at this point and ended up having a heart attack and died in her loungeroom :( There's no room in the world for (attempted) thieves like that

I still reckon deportation to a special island somewhere for low lives would be great

We could get them before they commit a crime on a haircut by haircut basis, too

I'm not an immigrant nor a thief with a mullet.
