good luck with the copyright, make sure you do pursue it.

remember to keep a diary of all contacts you make with them.

re- retuned pewtas, not such a good idea to put a retuned ecu into a different car. that ecu would likely have ignition timing advanced.

on a standard car this could cause detenation.

Car: S14a, its not mine, its my girlfriends!!!!! lol
boost and speed cut removed i can definitely live with but tuned for Optimax.... i know it is a cheap way of getting a few extra KW but no-one, not even Trust, HKS, Apexi could tun a computer to suit your car and get the best results from it. The only way to truly tune a car is to tune the ECu with the car, not tune the ECU in Japan and ship here to have it bolted in.

Dont get me wrong, i know it was a cheap means to getting rid of boost and speed cuts, but in all honesty when it comes to the tune side nothing will beat the factory computers settings..... unles of course it is a fully adjustable ECU

Yeah the idea was to buy the daughterboard now with just some limits removed, and then only have to pay for the dyno time later to have it tuned in real time before burning it onto the daughterboard.

Any maps that hav not been tuned for your very car should be tried with caution first on the dyno! I have made this quite clear on my website.

Time to write the letter.

Thanx 4 the concern guys :)
Yeh I would never throw an ecu in the car and just drive her :P thats why I wanted to goto the dyno day to see if there r any positives or negatives with the ecu. CA18DET ECUs r all fully adjustable to a degree aren't they?
But unfortunatly the ecu hasn't arrived neway  :-?
If I dont receive the ECU by Friday I too will be sending him a letter.

CA18 ECUs are adjustable, in that you can re program the EPROM chip to change the tuning / limiters, etc.

It's not a real time job, but it's still better than nothing.

"We can provide a discount to your members also for bar and plate intercoolers
600x300x76mm standard is $850 available to your members at $780 including postage"

Hold him to it I have the email saved if we need proof. I assume the cooler would have a pic on their website.

Umm, they offer isnt that spectcular for your compo.
its a great cooler, but price isnt anythign special.
I saw a guy saying something about a group buy for that exact cooler (NissanSilvia.com, but now down, cant check back), he was saying a price in the $700-$750 i think,
So that really isnt much of a decent disscount he's offerin us. Hit him up for that cooler for our members at $600-$650. i will email him if you want.
btw, standard is not 850, it's 840, and in detail page, it said 880.
this guy is definately dodgy, doesnt even know what he want for his shit
