As said before, police doing their job and "sport" cars attract their attention easily.

I'm no expert in law or anything, but if the ticket wasnt filled out properly you may be able to get out of it. I've heard stories (don't know if their true tho) of people being fined with incorrect or incomplete information on the fine, actually getting out of it as the simple process of fining you was done incorrectly.
You may wanna look into that.

Do we have any police who are members who could shed some light on the subject?

nearly got done for mis matching engine numbers. all fixed now but, fuck that was one scary night.

im no copper but if u really thought it was worth it u can probably beat that fine, these days the tiniest little information left out will mean a +1 for yourself. :)

Wonder how they would go about checking stuff up with me... after the conversion i was only required to update records at the RTA and not the compliance plate......

Did the cops look up the RTA records or just try to do you over for the compliance plate not matching the engine?
