EXACTLY my point Zei. the same people that don't realise that the stuff like this that they support ends up indirectly affecting THEM as well as us.

they support 'hoon' car crushing, speed cameras everywhere, lower speed limits everywhere, and extra policing on the roads NOW,but when it goes to the next level, and THEY see tens of thousands of dollars worth of BMW get crushed into a cube and dumped out the front of their town house in north rose bay because dad accidentally drove at 10km/h over the limit one night on the freeway and was pinged by a hidden speed camera that they'll realise that they should have opposed this crap.

as if THATS gonna happen they have so much money the lawyer they hire will get them out of that.

however it would be funny to see if it was to happen!! id probably pay to see it!

EDIT: so if a P plater in an import is racing a 40+yo guy in an $80,000+ merc and they get caught, do they crush both cars? or does the 40yo guy get off because he is quite obviously not racing because he has 3 kids and a holiday house on the gold coast?

Personally I'd like to see them justify how a 38yr old commo driver killed 2 elderly people street racing, then 2 pulsars hit a 300zx while street racing, then a guy was arrested racing in his camry, yet the media whips into "modified turbo cars" overdrive.......... am i missing something?

On a current affair they put one idiot in a commo on tv telling of his "racing" on public roads, yet directly after that follow up with an s15 being combed over by the cops.

Maybe if a Mitsubishi Nimbus runs a red light in iraq they can blame that on "modified turbocharged cars" aswell..... Too bad ACA didnt come to a meet-up to find out what true "enthusiasts" have to say about the issue.....

Maybe in 12 months from now our cars will be crushed just for having a turbo.... obviously we are more dangerous than murderers and terrorists....

just felt like havin a bitch

^ He'll tell the tale of how he was trying to horrifically escape the DANGEROUS P plater hooning around his car at dangerously high speeds, no matter how fast or slow he tried to go he just couldn't escape the grasp of this overwhelming criminal scum, known as the "Almighty Car Hoon" *cue dramatic music*

No it shows that the government are using words that don't exist to try and single out a minority

In the same aspect of automatically judging all modified car owners of being "hoons" and "street racers".

Maybe the government should look at the cars creating the trouble VS the modified cars they are targeting......but they'd never admit to being wrong.

I didnt know it was a crime to drive a performance car.

Hahaha yeap, create a catchy new word, to focus on their current "What's Hot" in order to aid the masses in flocking to their intense stories of how unsafe the world now is due to fast cars & stupid people~

And i thought most things as stupid as this were 'Only in America...'

I don't think im alone here in imagining the heartache of watching your pride n joy be crushed before your eyes....

Seems the only thing the government is trying to do is "crush" something we see as a hobby and appreciate

Should all police cars be crushed?? Nope, the nobs who act irresponsibly in vehicles (any) should be skinned and thrown in the ocean.

no,the placards on the walls are aftermarket part supplier names.

whoever they are, they're complete tools. that's a great way to kill someone. shake the car a bit ,and there's a good chance it'll bite in,and launch the car across the workshop.

I reckon that's not a cop doing the burnout, but some dickhead apprentice showing off to their mates.
