Like I said police is useless. They think everything is a civil matter. Ie in my workplace, someone completely damaged the seat/ furniture and police said sorry 'no malice or intent was involved' and its a civil matter'. Also, when I had an accident with the guy who crashed me they were saying it is not a major incident and its a civil matter, so its up to the two parties to solve.

just sold my car with the accident damage, kinda happy its all over.
do you know if i can still hit the guy up for the damage even tho the car is sold?

I'd say you could, because you sold the car for less due to the damage.

Maybe he could pay the difference between market value and what you sold it for.
