If they haven't blocked the site by IP, then use this (I run it from another one of my sites on the same server):
http://www.linuxathome.net/cgi-bin/proxy.cgi

Otherwise try this:
http://www.proxy80.com/

There are hundreds of these style sites around.

My old work, the boss started blocking sites, so I kept bringing up new proxies, including bouncing off home, eventually it got so nasty we started surfing seek, careerone etc so that he would get the picture :P

yeah both those sites are blocked :(
its strange in the lan settings, there arent any proxy servers in there anymore, we used to have them on the old system though..

Hmmm never had that issue and I installed it over 10 PCs... Is this your home machine you talking about?

probably have a transparent proxy. everyone goes through it. like your ISP has to reduce downloads

for all those people saying post at home.... no haha
i can do work and post up stuff at the same time anyways ;)

proxy is down at the moment, so im posting woohoo

too much stuff to do at home to have time reading and posting then, BT is on the money.

edit: logmein.com eventually worked, they have a fantastic support team which responded to my problem and gave me a work around to install the software. unfortunately the day after using it, they blocked the port it goes through at work :(
