Ok this isn't really a bitch about insurance... but more of a success story.

I had spend about 4 months getting a silvia, doing an engine conversion and brake conversion which took forever!!! (s14 engine, s15 brakes) Finally I got the car back on the road and 10 days later I got rear ended quite badly and wrote the whole thing off!

Now I had spent 16k (including car) putting this car together so I was pretty gutted. it was so much fun to drive (all of the 10 days!)

Anyhow, I wasn't insured. The driver who hit me was insured and I have just finished negotiating with his insurers to get a pay out.

End of the day, I have ended up with more money than when i started. That is 10k + wreck.. now if I value the parts on my wreck for what I bought them for...all up that's 16k.

Anyone want me to negotiate their insurance payout? lol.

I've already spent the money too! lol.. I have the 180 love this time and bought a shell... I get it in the next 2 weeks then it's straight off to my mechanic where the wreck will be waiting to do the conversion.

can also afford some sticky rubber and a tricky suspension set up with the left over money!

most people over on SAU have been taking bets about how long this one will last me.
