Recently I rang up some sellers for some parts for my silvia and the thing that ticks me off is how pushy some people can get. I dont want to name any shops or sellers but getting excuses such as we are busy call another time and etc annoys the hell out of me because they make it sound like as if we owe them somthing

OMG so true !! i mean wtf, what the hell is "call again, we're busy" we want to do some business here why we need to call later

yeah and on top of that they say we have to call them back. I would undertstand if they said if u leave your number we call u back, thats alright because that is simple good manners.

I know the place yous are talking about. I must say, I've never had a drama with them. They're always keen to help out, and are always up for a bit of haggling.

I just wish they'd stock a bit more useful CA/S13 stuff.

SSS have been pretty good to me so far, i called them after hours once when they were sitting around drinking beers and the dude was still willing to talk to be about a conversion.

This unmentioned place on the other hand is teh suck!

I haven't had a problem with either the kirrawee or girraween sellers mentioned.

The kirrawee one in particular is a mad house on a saturday morning so I'm not surprised that they don't have time to talk on the phone when there are customers 3 deep at the counter.

its funny you should mention that, i swapped the guys at SSS a case of beer for some parts because they wanted to sell me the whole thing when i only wanted one bit of it. it was quite funny, but i was happy to do it lol

I've had mixed experience with both the places that've been referred to.

basically,if you get that kind of attitude,reply that you'll be going elsewhere,and letting everyone you know what they've said.

I prefer to go into a place in person,and speak to them directly. you get less bullshit that way. on the phone,you could be anyone,noone is going to give you any kind of decent pricing without committment,especially when they get 50 other dreaming kids calling them everyday. it's not easy to sort the wheat from the chaff,and after a while,you don't bother trying.
