I hate people that hang around at ped crossings just to have a chat and not actually cross.

And of course, if they did dart out suddenly, i'd get the blame.

Also people who just walk out without looking... I mean, sure they have right of way, but someone might not be paying attention.

Ok

I can't stand it when people who use the crossing take forever to get accross the bloody road. They just waffle along like you've got all day to wait for them.

Whenever I have a car waiting for me to cross the road I always make sure I get accross quickly.

I beleive there is a standard protocol for people who *look* like they are going to cross, so you stop, then they just stand there as they did not want to cross anyway. You stop, get mad, then set off slowly pointing the car towards the kerb slightly. Now turn sharp the other way and floor it, and try to get your outside rear tyre on the foot or so of road close to the kerb. This has the satisfying effect of spraying said pedestrian with all the roadside crap, tyre debris, gravel etc, and gives you a nice warm feeling inside

hahaha

I disagree, pedestrians shouldnt have to hurry accross crossings, who fucking cares if it takes them 10sec longer. most likely you'll make up for it at the next set of lights...

The road is not there to share.

I pay rego, etc to drive my [insert token shitbox here] on public roads. I don't, however, pay anything to walk/ride a bicycle on them.

Therefore, I feel a motorist should have right of way everytime.

When I'm playing the character of 'Pedestrian' or 'Cyclist', I don't jump out in front of cars, expecting them to stop, or take up 3/4 of a country back road, or expect an impatient Umai Naa to wait while I click it back a couple of cogs to overtake my three other lycra-wearing homo buddies.

It's bad enough dealing with other motorists, let alone fucktard pedestrians, and pushie riders.

Oh, and did I mention anything about owners that walk their dogs near busy roads, unleashed?

My $0.03 < Inflation.

its less effort for you to press the pedal than it is for an old bloke to hobble faster accross the road.

what really pisses me off tho is pedestrians that cross 5m from a crossing, or set of lights, it happens in my area alot... and usually results in me yelling out the window at them.

lol i think the law states that pedestrians have right of way on the road regardless of where you are. obviously that doesnt mean they can walk out in front of you, but if someone is crossing the road, you have to give way, yes even when there isnt a crossing
