PS: what the hell diff change did you do to get 18% out??

dunno, had an issue with my original diff, so went to just jap, and asked for an LSD 2x2x2 s13 diff, they give me one, I dump the old oil from it, and refill, and install.

Then I get a friends navman on the weekend which shows me pushing almost 130km/h but the speedo was 110km/h.

previously, my speedo was checked with the police to be .5km/h off at 100km/h

will be getting the old diff rebuilt andway and reinstalled.

yeah alot of bike riders show blatant disregard, I almost hit one a while back when I was changing lanes.

u know why?!, because the tool was speeding, when I checked my blind spot he wasnt there, but the fucker was coming up at like 100+ in the 80zone so as soon as I started mergin he was almost next to me, and how many bikes do u see that actually stick to the speed limit?!

Nope, you wouldn't be keen, but I knew a few cops as friends in brisbane, and managed to get them on the phone while doing radar checks, and got one to focus the car at me while on the phone getting speed reports back, speedo used to be perfect (almost).

With all the people getting off speeding fines because of faulty police radars, i wouldn't be too confident that their measurement of your speed was accurate either.

There was another beat up on ACA or TT about people getting booked for impossible speeds. One old man was "caught" doing something like 80Ks over the limit in a 60 zone whilst driving some old 70's car.

I think they even mentioned that a radar gun was pointed at a brick wall and it was doing 12km/h.

I thought I'd share this little example of a new temporary citizen I saw the other day:

I'm stopped at a red light at the intersection of West and Falcon Streets, in Crows Nest, and there is one car in front of me and about 3 behind me. This motorcyclist, on his L's (no less), crosses double white lines and drives up the wrong side of the road to get to the front of the queue.

Next thing, the lights go green, and traffic starts flowing from the opposite direction and we start moving. This clown on the motorbike turns RIGHT (without indicating) just missing the oncoming traffic, and nearly takes out about 10 school kids who had just started crossing the road.

It's fucksticks like this which truly do not help the image of bike riders.

Probably because the signal was too close and over-attenuated itself on the receive signal back from the wall, from memory most of the microwave radar guns where only rated to about 5% error anyway and very rarely checked in for calibration.

my pet hate is the new breed of tight-arsed scooter tools. they're on two wheels,so they figure the same un-written rules that bikes ride by also apply to them.
the trouble is they don't.

I don't particularly care if a duck weaves through stopped traffic waiting at an intersection and then pulls in front of me over the line,if he gets going, and going hard the instant the light goes green. as long as he doesn't hit my car doing it,good luck I say.

a scooter hasn't got a fucking hope of not holding me up once the light changes. they still weave through and try and sit in front of me though.
several have learned to move over in a hurry however. an RB25 stalling up at 4000rpm and turning the rear tyres encourages them to move over and sit within a lane like the law says they should.
