They where saying in the news that the goverment planes on putting a certen % of ethanol in all fuels sold in Australia by 2008. I just have the shits due too the govement trying these silly little fixes to the cost of fuel, why dont they drop some of the tax??? It's all Americas fault any way. |

I think you read it wrong. They are talking about making ethanol based fuels make up a certain % of market share by 2008 |

ethanol is good fuel as long as the cars are set up for it. The only problems are that many of the rubber seals used in the fuel system react to ethanol, and ethanol needs a different air fuel ratio to burn properly. When it's all set up right it burns very cleanly, doesn't have detonation problems, and is cheap. |

so dumhed, i guess the big question is (for me anyway ), what does that mean for someone with a car that can't take ethanol mixed fuel? Would they have to change the rubber seals and get a re-tune? |

use second hand deep fryer oil If your car can't take ethanol then you'd have to run non ethanol fuel, or get the appropriate mods done to support it. It's very common in a lot of countries, just not here. |
