yeh i understood what you were saying, but thats a fairly big call. surely they couldnt get away with that if say at least 200 people filled up that day.
but you know your car, so there must be something fishy going on.

haha
i've found some similar situations with my car though... driving normally (bit heavy, bit soft, etc) and fuel consumption is XXX... and when I try and drive it softly I find that I usually get worse consumption.

How many people do you know that can/do measure how much fuel actually goes into their car?

Unfortunately fuel pumps can be "calibrated", which means they can be purposefully miscalibrated. What's worse is that checks on their calibration are rare, and the penalties aren't harsh - a few days of skimming an extra few dollars off each customer is more than enough to pay the fine.

After watching a screaming match between an angry skyline owner and some fat bitch that bucked the line up in front of him a few weeks ago I dunno if petrol buyers are exactly someone you'd want to rip off and live :D
(Thank god we're not completly like the US yet, someone would have busted out a piece and started shooting for sure)
Aside from the fact people are getting angrier about being fucked at the pump it might not be the wisest thing to do if theyre caught. Guess the best way would be to fill up a jerry can one day and see just how much your getting skimmed if you think theyre up to no good. Problem is the dopey dude behind the counter probably isnt the manager if you stuff a rag in it and hurl it through the glass while its on fire.

wouldn't make any difference to me who was behind the counter.

when fuel hit the $1.20 mark last year and I was still driving a V8 everyday I was pondering getting a 44gal. drum from work and doing a drive off or three. put my Jap plates and some sunnies on.

Think its in Denmark, they used to be UK but there was some merger or something, no idea where theyre Australian offices are. Denmark is a long way to go for some burninanting.

There was that bloke a few months ago that got busted nicking fuel, he had some sort of van and was driving around the place-
edit- found the old news story:
Here

Gets my NINJA stamp of approval for effort
