Im not usually one to bitch about stuff here, but I'm pretty pissed off with the cheapness of HPI DVDs at the moment. I had one Volume 9 stuff up (choppy, stopping, disk read errors on multiple players) and it was replaced by the store I bought it from. Fair enough, one bad burn in a million or so.

Now I just bought volume 10 last week and the same thing happened. Twice. Two times I had Auto 1 replace it and they were cool about it, now Im on my 3rd copy and the same thing is happening. Im not even going to bother swapping it as it is bound to happen again anyway.

Just shits me that they are charging $30 for something that is apparently costing them a few grains of rice to produce.

Meh...Ill be sticking to Japanese DVDs from now on.

they dont burn pre-mastered discs. they are pressed :)

they are obviously not aware that they have so many dodgey presses. maybe send them an email to explain. you might get some freebies? :)

I hear you loud and clear, Gunmetal.

Although, in my case, the newer the player, the better it played. go figure!!

Thats probably got to do with the accuracy of the laser in the player - with time the prices of players drop, or features/quality go up, so that would make sense of your scenario. Even a cheap, crappy go-lo special DVD player would be more accurate than an expensive, top of the range player from when they first came out

yeah could be your dvd players fault, laser probably needs alignment.

I've not had any trouble with HPI or Drift Battle DVDs, however one Option DVD i had skipped and carried on a bit.

Ive tried these DVDs on no less than 4 different players and the problems all happen in the same manner.
