I have dealt with just jap on a few occasions now and I have never had a problem with them, quite the opposite and always willing to help when I need something or have a problem.

I think it depends alot on who you talk to as well, I have quite a few companies I deal with at work and you know the people who are in the game because they enjoy it, and the other who are in it purely to have a job....even in the same company.

at the end of the day if a business ran a tight ship and looked after every customer they would not have any need to worry about people posting about them on forums.

Its not defamation to speak of experiances with a certain company in public. People are far to cautious these days. If you make it up and give them a bad wrap then by all means its wrong and they are entitlled to take action as they see fit but realisticly if someone stuffs you around and its made public stiff shit.

Recently my drivers side power window regulator fuckd itself,
I rang just jap and they said yep got you can have. Drove out there they had it waiting, done deal no hassles.

Fitted it and it works like a charm and has 6 months warranty.

I couldnt find one anywhere else. So in my case I reckon they arnt too bad :)

I have dealt with Just Jap, and had both good and bad experiences:

Good:

When I had the J-spec Mazda 626, I had a knob-jockey pull out in front of me, then panic and stop, resulting in curved bonnet and broken headlight mounting section, so I was able to get 2 new headlights from Just Jap, fit them, and have the globes and wiring free as well, it also ended up far cheaper than the Mazda alternative which was 4 times the price, plus conversion of wiring to suit the different headlight loom for the Aus Mazda.

Bad:

Wanted to buy 1 single bolt for my brakes, because over time, 1 had come out.

I told them what I wanted, they had heaps, but when I was down there, they said they couldn't sperate from the brake calliper, and I would have to buy the entire unit (almost $90) instead of just the bolt for $5 like I was quoted on the phone.

I had spoken to them on my mobile, and at the time was playing with the record function, so I replayed the conversation back, and then he let me have both bolts on the calliper for $5.

They are blunt, and yes they do try to push you for every last dollar they can get from you, but at the end of the day, they are a business and the idea of a business is to make profit.

They are not to bad, you just need to stand your ground, and be prepared to walk out if they wont honour you with their verbal quote.

B.

I GOTTA get myself one of those. It's always good to have quotes over the phone recorded for backup.

I've always had great experiences with regards to Just Jap. I've been dealing with them since 1997 and have got to know the guys pretty well.

Well, perhaps its just the sheer amount of money i have spent in the place over the last 8 years... :)

I could be wrong, but I believe recording a phone conversation without the other party's knowledge and permission is illegal unless you have a warrant.

correct, i think you also need a signal of some sort to let them know you are recording them. like a beep etc.

you can video without permission tho :) no sound however

nothing but good experiances with just jap. I have spent a lot of money with them in the last 3 weeks and everything has been good quality.

Over the last how ever many years I have bought pretty much all my import parts through them or moore spares and never had a drama. I help them out and they help me out.

They only stock what they can sell.

S14 stuff is not in as high demand as say R32 so they don't have it.

S14a stuff is also very hard to find and in high demand in Japan, which is why you are having so much trouble finding bits.
So if they can't get it, they can't sell it
