I made the mistake of trying caltex. I barely even put my foot into it and had knock readings higher than i've ever seen

On a side note, i found that the BP in campbelltown has ultimate in stock again, when it was out last friday night.

I might have to try ultimate again now thats its all been retuned, but previously I found my car didn't like it and was better on the caltex vortex.

Is that because your's was tuned on optimax?

We are pretty much limited to the caltex around here, for obvious (to badhairdave) reasons. We do have ultimate and optimax but not of a night and not (almost) next door. The car was tuned on caltex though and I'll probably continue to use it if/when I need to tune it again.

Probably, it actually felt quite nice to drive at partial throttle with a few psi on board but knocked more than it would on full boost on the optimax.

I'll probably try and dilute it with some ultimate tonight.

Then never run caltex again :)

Fair enough. At least now you know the car is anti-caltex :P
