I used to hate them, Then I stopped driving my car on the road :P

Around here they are re-surfacing nearly every square inch of tarmac. Its damn annoying all the mess they make just to fix the road for 12months. It will be just as bad if not worse my novemeber next year :-?

what they do here is patch the pot holes around here. They do a pretty hopeless job that the patch seems worse than the original pothole.

There is one road in chatswood that is just shocking, reminds me of parramatta road. I think its because its a concrete road.

All the tax we pay and the crap fuel and roads we get, oh well sigh

I was just thinking that today. Hardly ever go out that way, but was driving to Granville today.

Holy crap. You would think the government employed an army of lowly trained chimpanzees from Zambia to pave it.

Parramatta road is a dream compared to some of the crap i drive on now.

I drove on it for about 18months straight in my car and thought it was fine.

You guys should try the Northern Beaches.

Pittwater Rd is a total shocker and anyone who has ever driven up to Palm Beach can testify to the state of dis-repair that road is in.

I wrote an email to the Lane Cove Tunnel people, after blowing a big hole in the side of my shock absorber after hitting a new pothole they created with night works the very night before.

I received no reply, but apparently they closed that lane of traffic for an hour (in the middle of the day) to perform unauthorised repair work to some potholes (a friend of mine has video footage of them actively repairing the holes during the day when they are only authorised to perform road work during the evening in that section of road).

I have re-sent my email asking why they thought it nescesary to perform unautorised work, and why I was not replied to or contacted about my issue.

I am not asking them for money, nor being rude, just asking them to be aware of potholes created that could cause massive damage to other vehicles the next day when they come down the onramps to meet the potholes.

B.

Ohh, and after hitting the Lane Cove potholes (not the big pothole on the news a last week), I went to Bathurst for the races, and I bottomed out no less that 3 times on the way out while cruising down a freeway of all things, bottoming on a freeway shows the poor condition of the roads in NSW.

how come there is no pot holes in speed bumps??? they should fix up or make the roads out of the stuff they make speed bumps with!!! and i dont care if they are made of metal...

Pot holes are 2wice as deadly with road/sports bikes...

there was i road i used to get to my missus place... it had so many repairs that it felt like you're entering earths' atmosphere when you were driving...

Lamos!

I try to think of Parramatta Road as an opportunity to get a massage. Unfortunately it also gives my suspension a hammering, but TANSTAAFL.
