funny you mention it actaully but noises and squeaks are my biggest hatred at the moment!

I spend on average 2 hours each day road testing cars with customers or the technicans looking for stupid little noises that are so damn hard to replicate it verges on insane.

Then they have a big sook because you can't fault the car.

Don't start me on interior rattles in Nissans. My service guys still haven't fixed my rattles. I've just taken it as part and parcel of owning a Nissan.

One of my mates had her moped backed into from some dickhead in an ML.

She was filling up, and this idiot just backed up into her. She kept yelling at him to stop, but the fucker in the car must have had John Laws up too loud or something.

She eventually just booted his rear quarter, which stopped him. Lucky he didn't see the dent.

Nice one. 8)

our spare parts chick backed over a dude on a motorcycle last year in our townace (very easy rig to drive). the funny thing is, it has a mirror on the tailgate to help see these sorts of things!! like you said, loud radio was the cause.

Keep complaining about the rattles scathing.

Where abouts are they coming from, most of the noises in a Z car are common problems im suprised your dealer hasn't contacted me about your car if they can't fix the noises :P

Talk yourself up a bit more, if your head gets a bit bigger you wont fit out the door and you can avoid going to work today :)

Good. That'll give him more time to work on my car.

The only one I can hear now is coming from the gauges. I don't think the other ones have stopped, its just that the rattles I put in myself are drowning them out.

The difference is, I know I can stop the short shifter and flywheel rattles if I want to.

Having worked at Nissan dealership many moons ago (too young to really understand the in's and out's), there seemed to be a bit of a philosophical 'gap' between the sales guys & 'us' service guys. (Not saying all big dealerships are like this  ) but lets just say promises were made etc that may or may not have been grounded in reality. A very positive spin is put on what a warranty will cover (don't lie, but you don't have to tell the truth either). So don't be too hard on the people that pay $40k, $50k, $60K plus for a 4wd and expect free dental and child care with thier purchase. I'm not really defending 4wd owners but thier expectations are not always thier own.

1 of my friends got killed yesterday by a guy driving a 4wd, speeding and the boat on the back of his trailer swang out and cleaned her up. The cunt did a runner as well.

I heard about that yesterday. Didn't he turn himself in after there was no alcohol left in his system?

Sorry to hear that it was your friend.

If forgot all about this thread.

Dave my head is alredy huge It can't possibly get any bigger :o

Scathing pull hard on the back of the guages and they will come out, the general fix is to put double sided tape right the way around the under side of the gauge cluster and then force it back into position.
Works every time.

Sorry to hear about your loose mandy.
