shuddup ricer boy lol

as for the cops in my area. they dont look at my twice usually. they know the car. but if its late at night, sometimes im pulled over or followed. i dont mind that at all, because if my car was flogged, they would realise it when the owner and driver doesnt match. and when the driver doesnt know the details of the owner when questioned.......

I just feel sorry for the other cops that do an honest day's work, when they get tarred with the same brush that people want to tar and feather your average highway patrolman with.

Every time I've been let off for foolish behavior, its been a general duties car or paddy wagon. Every time I've been pinged for a "random" breath test (yep, real random when you overtake a half a dozen cars in order to get to me) or fined for doing 20km/hr over the limit on a deserted section of highway, its been a pursuit vehicle.

While those scenes with the lebs on the ACA are an extreme, if the cops want to be treated with respect then maybe they should behave in a manner that shows they deserve it.

The guys driving paddy wagons and general duties vehicles have generally shown themselves worthy of respect; but if their company car has got a V8 and a set of driving lights its not the goodness of my heart, or my regard for their abilities, that's stopping me from giving them directions to the nearest short pier......

Just take a number plate down, they'll be signing something when they come on shift to be in it. Its not too hard to work out who was in what.
Well in a case like this, have a talk to a sergeant down at the station he comes from and see where you can take it from there. If they give him a slap over the back of the head for being a fuckwit then its probably best to just leave it at that.
He'll probably settle down.

If you dont get any response from the station, talk to the MP for that region and maybe bring it up to an official complaint if no ones doing anything about it.
I dunno, they slop these guys out of the acadamy without a real big budget these days which would probably reflect the lack of training and screening we see in a lot of new cops, young dumb and fulla beans. All's said and done I work with them on a daily basis, mostly feds, detectives who are smart and hard working people who do some pretty unappreciated work for the community as a whole.
We're better off with them than without.

(Besides, the worlds not ready for some 'MK Mass Justice' on bitches with a shotgun for socially stupid things on the road.)

There are a few out there, that are genuine about their job, but there is just as many who are complete faggots. Take my uncle, highway patrol, complete and unter toser. Thinks he knows everything about cars. Comes over a while back for a family thing, starts telling me things about my car, i was like wtf. Then he sat in it and asked for the keys, i told him to get fuked. He's the kind of asshole that would defect every aftermarket part on your car when you get pulled over for a breath test.

Well the thing ive noticed lately is cops speeding.I am amazed at the amount of cop cars ive seen speeding weather its on suburban streets or highways. My street is a 40 km zone, I got a cop who lives across the road from me he drives a VR commodore (yuck) No word of a lie he flys around the street im guess doing 60 or 70.I mean lets get real bout it how can they except people to stop speeding when there are a vast majority of cops driving around in tax payer funded cars speeding ?I find this so hypocritical.Different rules for cops ? last time i heard there wasnt. Sorry it just really gets on my goat !

Actually, there are different rules for cops. They have an exemption from the traffic act that comes down to they can do whatever they want on the road as long as it doesn't result in an accident. If their actions do cause an accident then they are no longer covered by the exemption and can cop it hard the way anyone else would.

I'm pretty sure that the exemption only applies while they're on duty though - so knobbie across the road probably isn't covered. If you want to make a point, videotape him speeding and make a complaint to the local commander. Remember though that if you do make a complaint then chances are that you'll be targeted forever after by his mates.

They can be booked like anyone else for speeding or whatever whilst off duty. Even when they're on duty, i think they have to have some kind of legitament reason for doing some things. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't by some of the stunts they pull.

cops exempt from the road rules?

yeah start pulling my third leg fellas

thats the biggest load of crap ive ever heard

unless they are sprinting to an emergency with their sirens on or whatever other emergency and police duty they need to get somewhere fast they obviously can run reds and do all that shit.

BUT

when they are not they must abide by every single road rule as do civilian traffic.
