I just noticed last nite that the price of 98 RON over the standard ULP is different from each petrol supplier. [I do apologize if it's old news]

BP: The price of 98 ron fuel is 9c more than the ULP.

Caltex: The price of the 98 ron fuel is 11c more than the ULP.

Think Mobil and Shell is also 11c above the stand ULP price.

Correct me if I'm wrong on the numbers.

I still prefer BP, then Caltex and Mobil.

Wont consider 95 or ULP unless it's desperate.

My area, caltex 96 was about 6cents more then ULP, and 98 was about 9 cents.

Same with all the other petrol brands with 98, about a 9/10 cent margin.

Usually Ultimate is 12c more than regular unleaded. I think when the base price goes higher, they drop the margin down to about 9c so it doesn't seem such a rort.

Ampol and Caltex are essentially the same company just different branding.

I saw 139.9 for ULP at BP, and then 50 meters down the road Sheel has ULP at 126.9
