laziness with their web site doesnt mean they are shonky, im not trying to make an argument either, as i also know its a pain when sites dont regularly update, especially when it comes to car parts.

just jap didn't update their site for over a year until recently and noone bitched about them...

you CAN call them to check on stock you know. if you call, and are told that something that's still marked as available on the website is already gone, say so on the phone, and let them know that their laziness just cost them a sale. if enough people do that sort of thing, they might get the idea.

they're not shonky, their IT geek is lazy.
you office boys generally have little understanding of how wreckers work. especially import wreckers who are constantly bringing containers in. they're flat out dealing with the actual cash in hand and jobs on the spot work that they have from day to day. they're hands-on,dealing with stuff in front of them at that minute, not sitting in an office doing most of their deals and orders over the web,and bouncing emails back and forth across the same office.
there's not a lot of time left in their day to deal with dreamers on the internet who MIGHT buy something ONE DAY. you may be serious, but how are they to know that, when they get a hundred emails a day from kids asking about parts, that 98% of them won't actually turn up to buy...

bitching here isn't going to make any difference whatsoever. you have to go to the source. your best bet is to go in to their office in person and talk to them about it.

Yeah i can only imagine the mammoth job of updating the website with all the new stuff!

It would be a full time job alone!

But yeah, you get excited then call them, and it's sold :(

No problem, but it should be noted that I started the topic and made no accusation of them beng shonky, just sloppy and the cause of me wasting time.

Months after I complained about them not being deleted they are still there. I hate to think of how many others have wasted their time ringing about the same items over the last 8 motnhs.

And boo hoo by the way, if they do not have time to maintain a website they should no have one. If I used that as an excuse my company would be out of business.

We are all adults right?, if you decide to do something, do it right or don't do it at all!!!!!!!!!

PJ

at the end of the day they are in the business of customer service.
If you are not happy with the service tell them as often the business will only hear 1/3 of the complaints and often they can be dealt with quiet quickly with a mutle result for both parties.
It is when the other 2/3 don't say anthing to the business but instead each of their 20-30 friends that the name of the business gets tarnished when it could have been something quiet simple to resolve.

If they don't take it on bored then it is there loss and they won't be in business for that long.
Matt
