Petrol prices have been really good down the northern beaches way, last couple of days they have all been around the 1.10 mark, though i just heard on the news that due to the decline of the aussie dollar petrol prices are on the rise again expected to jump upto the 1.40 mark for just normal unleaded. So fill up now guys! :)

agreed. I've put more kays on my girlfriend's rav and civic in the last fortnight than I have on the stagea in the last two months.

$90 to fill up for 350kms of range versus $45 to fill up for 450km. I drive the stagea to work on the days I don't have an excuse to take the civic now, rather than wanting to drive my own car. the best part of this whole thing is that it hits the people that need to do big kays the most: poorer, commuting wage earners.
we've had a couple of apprentices leave purely because of their fuel bills.
when you only get $200 in the hand at the end of the week, spending half of it on fuel alone just to get to work doesn't fill you with enthusiasm for your job.
you'll swap from the clean, cruisy dealership to the crappy taxi base or diesel workshop down the road from home so you can survive, while the rich barely notice. at worst, they have one less 3hr lunch a week. they go for 2hrs instead...

get a bike ! im considering this

its like less then 400 for rego + insurance a year
petrol is squat all for a 250cc bike

and you can have a stock 12sec quarter mile machine for 4K ! ..while on L's

although on the downside, your chances of dieing a greusome death have just gone up probably around 2000%

I'm getting a bike!

The problem is that even a 250cc engine uses a fair bit of fuel when it's doing 18,500 rpm :P

I just paid 1.51 per litre at the Ampol servo near Skyline shops on Warringah rd... I cant believe only $45 gave me half a tank :(

Back in the old days I could fill my Ceffy up with Optimax for $45 in 45-50L tank.. :) .. Cut those c&*p fuel prices it's killing the import market.

Least its not as bad then some other countries
Its going up alot quicker though.

Anyone see the news about the cheap fuel at these petrol stations. save up to 20c per litre without discount vouchers. Think there is one in RYDE, and another 2 places in nsw.

Seems pretty cheap and they have preimum for turbo cars too. Last time I saw on the news, it was like 1.14c. Too bad its not anywhere near my area.
