Yeah, I'm starting to feel the burn of pulp prices as well :P (From a 1.3 Swift, Ha!) - Payed $1.25/l or something yesterday - Bit different to $1.10 or so when your only buying 30L for a tank

We should do a group buy of an oil rig or something and refine it ourselves, and sell it to people at inflated prices (But not as much as $1.25)

*cough*

Sorry I'm at work bored

$1.27 for 98 octane last night.
Le sigh.

And yeah, those voucher things help, if only a little... but a little each tank over a long period has got to make some impression on my bank balance.

My parents have a lease car, so can't use them, so I've always got a stack, heh.

Comapany cars are the way to go especially if you have had it in your wage package for a while.

At work they have countered for the increased running costs when working out the vechicle as part of a wage package.

Petrol stations barley make anything off the gas, most of their income comes from the mechanical repairs and the food store, why do you think their all closing down.

With these high prices the car really only becomes transport, you cant afford to go driving aimlessly anymore

In Brissy it's around a $1.05 a litre but usually goes up to $1.14 before the weekend. But went and visited my missus 3 hours north of Brissy and i payed $1.19 up there.

I got fucked over in Port Maquarie for $1.34 for optimax visiting the folks a week or so ago, next time I visit I think I'll chuck a jerrycan in the back. Around the Eastern suburbs $1.20 seems to be the average for the first half of the week.

Holy crap! $1.26 for Unleaded!!! (which equates to $1.35 for Optimax). I am gonna seriously think about catching the bus.

Today was bullsh!t. $126 for unleaded. Thats outrageous. I heard stories of suburbs such as hurstville having to pay $1.40. Thats fscking stupid. I'm going to kick the sh!t out of morris iemma and John howard if they don't fix the oil prices, i don't care how they do it and how they achieve it, otherwise nobody will drive in australia, so THEY can catch the bus and trains.

$1.36 for BP ultimate this afternoon. Ouch.

I wouldn't mind so much if I knew the profits from the price hikes were going towards something useful like research into clean alternative energy sources, but its just lining some already stupidly rich bastard's pockets.

they already have viable clean alternatives, they're just milking everything they can out of oil revenue before it starts to run low,and they need to switch over.
there's not a lot of point in building electric cars for a car compnay with shares in a fuel producer. your income practically ends once the car rolls out of the showroom. several hundred bucks a year in servicing fees is nothing compared to thousands a year when you add fuel to the equation.

I get 350km to about 70L and let me tell you,the prices are hurting me and my 4L V8. I'll be fitting a unichip soon to lean it off a bit,not to chase more power, even though it will gain a little.

fuel pricing is part of my current belief that we have about 10-15yrs left to enjoy driving the way we do now. when fuel is $50L,you won't be going on the roads much...

oh,and I live in the east, and haven't paid under $1.10 for 95 octane fuel in over a year. most times I fill up each week it's between $1.15 and $1.30/L,and onm the increasingly rare occasions that I get $1.10/L I'm jumping up and down and giggling at my luck.

Justin...
