Pay more tax even if its only a couple of $$$$ a week they all add up and also speak to your boss about going sub-contract if possible as you can claim shit loads more on tax just a few that pop in my head some of your living cost eg rent/house loan phone bill and any thing you buy for work such as clothes shoes and also your car as it is a WORK vechile and petrol
dont think you will be able to claim money for any mods you do but if you can find a mechanic he may be able to put in a few extra tune ups to help off set the cost of any mods done

Ok this is the basics of how it is done
you need to setup a company and the company supplys a work vechile your silvia or 180 or 200 and you service the car and supply the clothes for the workers to wear and your house is the office for your buisness
you cant claim all the bills but you can claim some of the bill
and you only pay for 1 employee being your self
you are best seeking more advice from an accountant if you are thinking of doing this as you need to register a company name and get a ABN and other stuff but my brother does this and constantly get $5000+ in his tax return so its worth looking at doing

Setting up companys and crap takes to much work and to much drama.

What ever you do for work, ask if you can use you car occcationally even if its just to drop of the mail, keep a log book of "those" trips for 3 months and then you can claim back on a cents per kilometer basis.

If you use your car alot for work you can claim the interest on you repayements, so If you own your car its not to good.
Mods increase the value of the car which can then be depreciated each year.
For example my new rims I couldnt claim for but got anded to the value of the car.
Tyres I could claim.

Anyway, I'm no tax accountant but never push what your not sure about!!!!

Oh and an investment property will help negative gearing aswell.

DEVIL, good to see you back mate!
