If she or her manager(s) had called up saying that Kylie Minogue wanted to stay at this private hospital, its not like the management at the hospital wouldn't have bent over backwards to make sure this famous celeb got 5 star treatment, never mind the other paying but anonymous customers.

You see this kind of shit everywhere. Its a business, not a public service. You expect higher ethical standards from a hospital, but ethics have no place in private enterprise.

My $25 is as good as anyone else's, but if Kerry Packer and one of his mates decided to slum it at my local Black Stump with a Shop-a-Docket in hand, they'd kick me off my table to make way for him.

I like how the journos are trying make out that they're all outraged over the treatment of the patients when you know they would have walked all over them if they thought it'd give them a chance to get a photo of kylie in a hospital gown. I do detect a bit of schaudenfreude here. The whole reason these 'precautions' were taken were to keep the media out and minimise potential disturbance to the patients.
